Our Kindergarten, First, and Second Graders had a special visit from Mrs. Sharon Zoellner today, as she shared her talent of knitting with them. Not only did she share different examples of items she has knitted with us, but she also surprised the students by bringing 138 pairs with her today to gift to each student in grades K-2! Mrs. Zoellner's favorite item to knit are mittens because she "doesn't like kids to have cold hands." She has been knitting for 60 years and has made 1,350 pairs of mittens. One mitten pair takes around 6 hours to knit, so she has been a very busy lady!! Thank you for sharing your special talent with us! The students will treasure this gift always, but especially on those cold and wintery days ahead!
