The OST (Out-of-School Time) program is excited to announce that we are hiring additional staff for the upcoming school year. We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals who are available Monday through Friday, from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
To qualify for the position, you must be at least 14 years old. If you are interested, please visit the elementary school office to pick up an application.

**Reminder**
The SDHSAA Summer Moratorium rules prohibit school-sponsored activities and contact between coaches and student-athletes in grades 7-12 from July 1 to July 7 each year. This means:
- No team or individual practices, training, or lessons
- No open gyms or conditioning programs
- No coaching, guidance, or supervision by school personnel
- No use of school facilities, equipment, or resources
However, student-athletes can participate in camps, clinics, or programs on their own initiative, as long as they are not organized by their school or involve school personnel.

Good Morning OST Families. As we spend time outside in the mornings and some attend swimming lessons and sports practices, please ensure your child applies sunscreen before arriving at OST. Additionally, our staff will assist them in reapplying sunscreen after lunch before heading to the pool. Depending on the amount of time we spend at the pool, staff will reapply once again if necessary. Thank you!
Congratulations to the Groton Trap Team for placing 2nd in the State Clay Target Trap and Skeet Tournament held this last weekend in Aberdeen.
Groton also recorded the highest spring season score and brought home first place for the 2024 Spring Trap Season.
Another highlight of the weekend was that freshman, Ashton Holmes, recorded a perfect score of 100! He was spot on and nailed all 100 targets on Saturday in the State Trap Competition.
Nice job, Tigers! You had a very successful year and we are proud of you!
Congratulations to Groton Area Graduating Seniors, Holden Sippel and Logan Ringgenberg, for being chosen to play in the South Dakota Football Coaches Association all-star football game today at Dana Dykhouse Stadium on the campus of South Dakota State University in Brookings. Congratulations to Groton Area Senior, Carly Guthmiller, on nailing her first career Hole-In-One at the State A Golf Meet at Bakker Crossing in Sioux Falls. On Tuesday, June 4th, Carly used her 6-iron on the 140 yard, Hole #11. Carly also finished in 8th Place at the State Meet. Congratulations, Carly! What a way to end your high school career!
