Congratulations to the Groton Trap Team for placing 2nd in the State Clay Target Trap and Skeet Tournament held this last weekend in Aberdeen.
Groton also recorded the highest spring season score and brought home first place for the 2024 Spring Trap Season.
Another highlight of the weekend was that freshman, Ashton Holmes, recorded a perfect score of 100! He was spot on and nailed all 100 targets on Saturday in the State Trap Competition.
Nice job, Tigers! You had a very successful year and we are proud of you!

Congratulations to Groton Area Senior, Carly Guthmiller, on nailing her first career Hole-In-One at the State A Golf Meet at Bakker Crossing in Sioux Falls. On Tuesday, June 4th, Carly used her 6-iron on the 140 yard, Hole #11. Carly also finished in 8th Place at the State Meet. Congratulations, Carly! What a way to end your high school career!

2024-25 Athletic Physical Forms were sent home with students on Tuesday. Your child needs to have these forms turned in to the school prior to participating in athletic practice this fall.
- Every three years your son/daughter needs to have a FULL physical (gold form).
- The two years following a full physical, your son/daughter needs to complete the blue form.
- If your son/daughter needs to have a physical completed this year, you can go to your regular physician or Groton Chiropractic Clinic can do them, too! Call 605-397-8204 to make an appointment, it is only $25.00, and it only takes about 15 minutes.
- If the physical forms did not make it home and you are unsure which form your son/daughter needs completed for this fall, feel free to call the office and talk to Sue or contact Ms. Schuring.
