Our Introduction to Sports Medicine students had an awesome day welcoming the 3rd and 4th grade classes into the arena!
Students became the teachers as they led fun, hands-on activities focused on physical activity, movement skills and staying active in healthy ways 👟

Last Tuesday, amidst the blustery winter weather, Kindergarten–2nd grade had a very special visitor! Sharon Zoellner delivered 131 pairs of handmade knitted mittens for our students. Knitting is one of her favorite hobbies, and it takes about six hours to make just one pair. It makes her heart so happy knowing our kiddos will have warm hands this winter.

🧡 GROTON AREA HOSA • NOVEMBER RECAP 💙
November was a busy and impactful month for our Groton Area HOSA students! We are so proud of their leadership, compassion, and commitment to service. Here’s a look at what they accomplished:
✨ HOSA Week
Students celebrated with themed days, activities, and outreach focused on promoting future health professionals and raising awareness for health careers.
🏡 Nursing Home & Rosewood Court Visits
Members spent meaningful evenings engaging with residents—bringing conversation, games, and connection to our local long-term care communities.
🎳 Special Olympics Bowling
HOSA members assisted and cheered on athletes during Special Olympics Bowling, supporting an amazing group of competitors and building inclusive community spirit.
🧵 Tie-Blanket Making with FFA
HOSA partnered with FFA to make cozy tie blankets that will be donated to Midwest Street Medicine, offering warmth and comfort to those in need. True teamwork in action!
❤️ Salvation Army Service Projects
Students helped support a community project through the Salvation Army by helping at their Aberdeen facility and also volunteered as Bell Ringers, spreading holiday cheer while helping raise funds for local families.
We are incredibly proud of the heart our students continue to show each month. 💛

Jerica was also chosen by the NEC Coaches as this year's NEC Defensive Player of the Year! Your commitment, consistency, and excellence on the court earned you three this well-deserved recognition. Thank You!
Just one week ago, we shared a list of items needed for our Comfort Closet and BAGS program. Since then, we’ve had community members drop off donations in person, send Walmart deliveries, and even have Costco orders shipped straight to our building. Thank you for your incredible generosity!
Our mission in education is to create an environment where students develop a true thirst for knowledge. But we also know that when little tummies are rumbling or basic hygiene needs aren’t met, learning becomes a real challenge.
Your donations help ensure that our students have what they need to come to school comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.
We are currently organizing all the items and getting them ready to go out the door to students who need them. And if you’d still like to donate—whether by dropping items off or sending them directly—you are more than welcome to do so.
We want to say " Thank you for continuing to support our students and our mission."
