The Introduction to Sports Medicine class spent the day learning about all things sports science today! NSU faculty and staff gave them an in-depth look at what they do, what careers are out there and let them get hands-on practice with equipment used in the field! They also got a closer look at NSU facilities and learned about what it takes to create a gameday experience.

Our very own Carlee Johnson auditioned and made first chair French Horn in All State Orchestra. She put in the hard work and it paid off! Congrats Carlee! She will be traveling with our All State Chorus students to Sioux Falls to perform at the end of the month. Good luck and have fun!

This week, we kicked off an exciting milestone—South Dakota’s Free College Application period, running through the end of November!

To celebrate and support our senior students' futures, staff showed their school spirit by proudly wearing college gear from near and far.

We were also thrilled to be greeted by Thunder 🐾, from Northern State University bringing energy and encouragement as students take the next step toward their dreams.

🎳💛🖤 Even on a day off, our Groton Area HOSA members were hard at work giving back!

Last Friday, while school was out, several of our students volunteered at the Special Olympics Bowling event in Aberdeen. They spent the day cheering on athletes, helping with games, and spreading positivity and support throughout the lanes.

Our Groton Area Cross Country team has wrapped up a successful season filled with dedication, teamwork, and strong finishes! Coach Hubsch had 11 high school runners and 6 middle school runners this year! 🌟

We’re so proud of the entire team for their dedication, growth, and effort throughout the season — every runner contributed to a year full of improvement, personal bests, and Tiger pride!💛🐯

🚑 Groton Area HOSA Visits Avera St. Luke’s! 🩺💛🖤

Today, members of our Groton Area HOSA chapter had the opportunity to take part in the Avera All Access Tour at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen! Students explored a variety of healthcare departments, met professionals from different medical fields, and got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to deliver quality patient care.

A huge thank you to Avera St. Luke’s for welcoming our students and sharing such meaningful learning opportunities! 💚
