Due to unfortunate circumstances, the SDHSAA has changed from taking 10 teams, back to 8 teams. Groton falls as #9 so will not be attending the State B Duals this year. Good evening. Due to the dangerously cold windchills and the Extreme Cold Warning for our area, the Groton Area School District will be starting 2 hours late on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. OST will be opening at 7:00 AM.

Attention Basketball Parents & Fans: We have added a C game with Leola/Frederick on Tuesday, February 11th. The game will be 2 - 10 minute halves, with a running clock, except for the last minute of each half. The game will begin at 5:15pm!🏀 Go, Tigers!

Miss Jessica from the Dacotah Prairie Museum came to visit today. This is always kindergartens FAVORITE project!!! We worked so hard using our quills and ink to create our names, alphabet, and numbers. We decided pencils are easier to use but quills are definitely more fun!

It's a Wrestling Weekend! Our Groton Boys and Girls are having a successful year thus far and are excited to compete on their home mats both tonight and all day tomorrow. 🌟Come cheer on the wrestlers tonight as they face-off in a Quadrangular with Britton/Hecla, McLaughlin, and Canistota starting at 6:00PM! 🤼‍♂️And Saturday we are hosting our Annual Groton Invitational Tournament, which starts at 10:00AM. Schedule change for the Doubleheader with Deuel on Thursday, February 6th. Boys will play first and girls will follow. The schedule will be rolling, but will look similar to the following: 4pm - Boys JV 5pm - Girls JV 6:15pm - Boys Varsity 7:45pm - Girls Varsity Goooo, Tigers!!

This week the 4th grade has been reading “Dances Around the World.” Students were able to learn about and try dances from many different cultures. They were also able to share dances from their own heritage. We had so much fun!
