March came too quickly! Here is a throwback to February for our HOSA Happenings!
Students were busy again - here is what they accomplished last month:
• Hosted a successful pulled pork fundraiser — thank you to everyone who purchased and supported our students!
• Partnered with the Northern State University football team and NMDP to help add 250+ people to the bone marrow registry.
• Learned about nursing and healthcare career opportunities from guest speaker Chelsea Hanson at our February meeting.
• Welcomed 6th–8th graders for a Valentine’s Day–themed dance.
• Helped with a sweetheart dance at Avantara Groton.
• Began competitive event testing for State HOSA.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!! Kindergarten had fun learning about rhyming using our CVC words while playing a game and writing around the room. Day one of Read Across America week is in the books!

Members of our HOSA chapter recently had the opportunity to partner with the Northern State University football team and Be the Match (NMDP) for a special two-day donor registry drive.
Working alongside the NSU athletes, our students helped register more than 250 individuals for the bone marrow donor registry. Each registration represents hope for patients in need of a life-saving transplant.
Being asked by NMDP to assist with this event is a meaningful recognition of the work our HOSA members are doing. It shows that our students are trusted partners in important community health efforts — and that they are truly making a difference beyond our school walls!
There will be a Welcome Home Celebration honoring our 2026 State Wrestlers and Place Winners on Tuesday, March 3rd at 6:00PM in the Arena Lobby! Recap of the season, state tournament, and watching video of the 2026 SDHSAA State Championship Matches!🌟🏆
