The summer strength and conditioning program will be led and coordinated by NSU student-athlete, Tanner Berg. Tanner is a graduate student at NSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Performance and Fitness and is currently working on his Master's Degree in Strength and Conditioning Leadership.
Tanner is a seven-time All-American NCAA D-II Track and Field athlete and has earned an invite to the 2022 NCAA D-II National Outdoor Track and Field Championships after winning the NSIC Championship in the hammer throw. Tanner currently holds the top throw in the nation of 70.54m.
Program cost is $100 per athlete. Payment is due on June 6th (first workout) with checks payable to Groton Area School District.
Registration is June 2, 2020 at the GHS Arena and Weight Room and will include instruction on expectations and technique. Workouts begin June 6.
Workout times are:
Grades 11-12; 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Grades 9-10; 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Grades 7-8; 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM
