The Groton Area School District is proud of its students, staff, community, and school board members. At the February school board meeting, they were presented with Certificates of Appreciation from the Associated School Boards of South Dakota for School Board Appreciation Week.

Deb Gengerke is in her seventh year as a member of the Groton Area Board of Education currently serving as the Board President.
Deb says, "Serving on the Groton Area School Board has made me even more appreciative of our administrators, staff, and the multitude of accomplishments that occur every day within the walls of our schools. Great schools don't just happen, they are made."
