Goal #1: By May 31, 2026, the school board will improve community outreach to rural areas by launching an initiative that includes four in-person community engagement events, board meetings held in district communities, and other community involvement activities no later than October 1, 2025.

Goal #2: By May 31, 2026, the school board will compete a formal evaluation of the Groton Area Middle/High School facility by documenting all major structural and functional issues, comparing the costs and benefits of repair versus full replacement, and dedicating agenda time in at least three board meetings to discuss findings and potential actions, in order to determine a clear, evidence-based direction for the future of the building.

Goal #3: By January 16, 2026, the school board will develop and adopt a ranked capital improvement plan by conducting a comprehensive assessment of all district facilities, gathering stakeholder input, and evaluating each potential project based on safety, educational impact, cost, and urgency to ensure clear prioritization and alignment with long-term district goals.

Goal #4: By May 31, 2026, the school board will increase staff buy-in for professional development by establishing a PD Advisory Committee with staff representation, conducing a district-wide staff needs and interests survey, redesigning the PD plan based on input, and implement post-PD evaluations to improve instructional techniques, employee efficacy, and student outcomes.
