During the month of April, students in grades 3-8 and 11 will take the state assessments for English Language Arts and Mathematics.  Students in grades 5, 8, and 11 will also take the state assessment for Science. 

The assessments provide one measure of student achievement towards our state's content standards in the areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science.  Collectively, these scores make up a major portion of the school and district report cards required by the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) legislation.  Additional information for each grade span is contained in the letters below.
