For the first time in school history, the Groton Area Tigers have qualified for the State A Volleyball Tournament by defeating Pine Ridge in straight sets on Tuesday night in a SoDak16 matchup held in Fort Pierre.

The Tigers will travel to Rapid City for the tournament.  The first match for the #6 seeded Tigers will be at 4:30 PM MT (5:30 PM Central) vs. #3 seeded McCook-Central/Montrose.  Games are held at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in a combined State Tournament format with the tournaments from classes B and AA also held at the Civic Center.  The full tournament bracket can be found here.

Ticket sales are for general admission seats.  Further information on ticket sales can be found here

If you're planning to be in attendance at the tournament, please familiarize yourself with the SDHSAA Team and Spectator Conduct Rules.

There will be no school in Groton on Thursday, November 21 or Friday, November 22 to allow the community, students, and staff to attend and support our team.
